Joe A. Caceres, MD

More than 33 years delivering highest care in Internal Medicine at CMG

Dr. Caceres completed his internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois. He received his training in Cardiology at Washington University in St. Louis and completed a fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
He has published several articles about cardiac arrhythmias in reputable journals such as Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Annals of Internal Medicine and others.
His memberships include the Orange County Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and others.
Dr. Caceres is the recipient of several awards since 1996, such as the America’s Top Physician Awards, Most Compassionate Doctor Award, and the America’s Top Cardiologist Awards given by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Ace Alvarez, AGNP-C

More than 13 years delivering excellence in primary care at CMG

Ace Alvarez earned his degree as Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Philippines in 2007. He completed his Master of Science in Nursing at the California State University Long Beach in 2011, as an Adult & Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.
Ace was an outstanding nurse practitioner intern at CMG in 2011 under his mentor Dr. Caceres.
Ace joined Caceres Medical Group in January of 2012, as a Certified Nurse Practitioner.
Ace holds a certificate from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and other nationally recognized Nurse Practitioners organizations.
Ace is the recipient of the “Nurse Practitioner Independent Practice Group Setting Adult-Gerontology Primary Care” Certificate from the Board of Registered Nursing, State of California, since April 2024.
Ace specializes in adults and seniors. He is highly skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with a variety of medical conditions. His patients are very fond of him for his dedication to their health and the genuine interest he takes in each of them.
As an educator and mentor of nurse practitioners’ students, he has delivered more than 200 conferences of Continued Medical Education at Caceres Medical Group over the last 13 years.
Ace is fluent in English and Tagalog.

Faby Chavez Sanchez, MSN, MBA, FNP-BC

Caceres Medical Group & Affiliates is delighted to welcome Faby Chavez Sanchez, MSN, MBA, FNP-BC, as the newest member of our healthcare team.
Ms. Chavez earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2014 and later completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the same university in 2022. In 2025, she received her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles.
With more than 18 years of nursing experience, Ms. Chavez has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, high-quality care for patients with common medical conditions and chronic illnesses. She is committed to promoting wellness, disease prevention, and personalized care for every patient.
As a bilingual healthcare provider, Ms. Chavez is especially excited to serve our Spanish-speaking community and help patients and their families feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
We are confident that her knowledge, experience, and caring approach will be a wonderful addition to our commitment to providing genuine, compassionate medical care.
